Preamble
Algeria faces major food and health security challenges that are part of the major prerogatives of national sustainable development by 2030. Food security and human health have been threatened by climate change and its effects on the agricultural sector. In addition, over the past two years, the COVID19 pandemic has disrupted cross-border and international trade, limiting the supply and distribution of agricultural products and feed. At the same time, it is important to prevent and control foodborne illness and injury risks.
The scientific community must respond to the needs of farmers and ensure the quality of agri-food products and their upgrading. Through the collaborative work of academics with the user sector we will gain access to food sovereignty and security.
